Lulu Group International’s entity, Line Investments and Property, has joined forces with Star Cinemas for an innovative partnership that aims to introduce 22 new cinema screens to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. This collaboration, set to launch in September 2023, promises to revitalize the cinematic experience across the region and expand Star Cinemas’ current count of 76 screens.

Enhancing Cinematic Experience

With the goal of redefining movie-watching, this joint venture seeks to create immersive and captivating experiences for cinema-goers. The strategic placement of screens across four prominent malls in the region is expected to set new entertainment standards.

Among the malls, Al Raha Mall will house three screens, while Al Wahda Mall is set to accommodate nine screens. Al Foah Mall and Al Barari Outlet Mall will feature six and four screens respectively. The prospect of expansion into additional malls is being considered as the venture gains momentum.

Milestone Partnership Signing

The partnership was formally established during a significant agreement-signing event. MA Ashraf Ali, Executive Director of Lulu Group International, and Ahmad Golchin, Founder and Chairman of Phars Film and Star Cinemas, inked the collaborative pact. Ali expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Star Cinemas’ commitment to excellence, which resonates with Lulu Group’s vision.

Golchin also shared his excitement, expressing the honor of partnering with Line Investments and Property LLC for this thrilling venture. The partnership’s journey will commence with projects in Dubai Silicon Oasis, Sharjah Central, and RAK Mall in Ras Al Khaimah.

Positioning as a Leading Cinema Operator

This strategic collaboration propels the entertainment company to become the second-largest cinema operator in the UAE in terms of screen count. The presence of Satyajit Pendharkar, Chief Operating Officer of Star Cinemas, and Wajeb al Khoury, Director of Line Investment and Property, marked the significance of the agreement-signing event.

As anticipation builds, this partnership is set to reshape the cinema landscape in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, offering movie enthusiasts a new level of entertainment excellence.
