The DIFC Sculpture Park, currently in its second edition, is attracting attention in Dubai for its outstanding display of over 70 curated artworks. The financial district, renowned for its fintech companies, is now establishing itself as an art destination, showcasing sculptures that capture imagination and creativity. ‘Tales Under the Gate’ is the theme of this year’s exhibition, offering visitors a fascinating journey through various artistic expressions and interpretations.

Noteworthy sculptures include:

DJ Hercules: A quirky sculpture depicting the mythical figure Hercules as a modern-day DJ, symbolising the power of music to unite people, crafted by artist Emre Yusufi

Sfera Conchiglia: An ‘introsculpture’ by Italian artist Gianfranco Maggiato, exploring the inner journey to self-discovery

Love Dubai: An eye-catching sculpture with dual messages, spelling love from one side and ‘Dubai’ from the other, celebrating the city’s spirit

Realm: An artwork by Bilal Hakan Karakaya using recycled aluminium, reflecting on the isolation faced in modern city life and the constant restructuring of urban environments

UAE Toffee: A beautiful piece symbolising happiness, portraying a toffee wrapped in the UAE flag, celebrating the joy of living in the country.

Geometrical Explanation: An intricate artwork by Mert Ege Kose delving into the world of geometry and its connection to the universe

Hands Sculpture: Located beneath the iconic DIFC Gate building, this creation by Lorenzo Quinn is known as a symbol of peace and friendship.

Unwind: An artwork by Richard Hudson, located on the DIFC grass, is open to interpretation for viewers.

The Digital Self is a thought-provoking sculpture by Italian artist Adonai Sebhatu, inviting viewers to reflect on the digital age and its impact on memories and experiences.

The exhibition showcases a diverse array of artistic perspectives and themes, bridging the gap between finance and art in the dynamic setting of Dubai’s financial hub. The DIFC Sculpture Park provides a captivating experience for visitors, presenting a fusion of creativity and finance and celebrating the power of art to enrich urban landscapes and cultural experiences. The exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity for art enthusiasts and residents to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary art in an unexpected setting.
