Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently embarked on a Gulf tour, visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. Upon arriving in Abu Dhabi, President Erdogan was warmly received by Sheikh Mohamed. The two leaders carefully inspected the TOGG, discussing its features and posing for photographs. President Erdogan described the gift as a symbol of the strong ties between their nations. Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the generous gesture and conveyed his best wishes for Turkey’s progress and prosperity.
TOGG – Turkey’s Prestigious “People’s Car”
TOGG, also known as Turkey’s Automobile Joint Venture Group, is a prestigious project initiated by President Erdogan. Founded in 2018, the TOGG car factory began operations on the 99th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic, October 29. This electric car has garnered significant attention and interest since its launch.
TOGG’s Impressive Specifications and Features
The TOGG T10X offers two battery options with ranges of 314 and 523 kilometres respectively. The SUV comes with versions producing 160 kW power (218 horsepower) and 320 kW power (435 horsepower). It boasts all-wheel drive and rapid charging capabilities, reaching 20 to 80 percent battery capacity in under 28 minutes.

Safety and convenience are paramount in the TOGG, equipped with features like blind spot detection, lane assist, door exit assist, and emergency braking, ensuring a secure and comfortable driving experience.
Regional Gift Exchange with Saudi Arabia
In addition to gifting the TOGG to the UAE President, President Erdogan also presented the car to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, during his visit to Jeddah. The Turkish President’s gesture strengthens bilateral relations and reflects the significance of the TOGG in Turkey’s automotive industry.
