Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud, focusing on generative AI solutions. As part of this collaboration, TCS aims to provide its employees with over 40,000 skill badges in generative AI within a year.

The launch of TCS’s new generative AI offering utilises Google Cloud’s generative AI services to develop customised business solutions. Powered by tools such as Vertex AI, generative AI Application Builder, and Model Garden from Google Cloud, as well as TCS’s own solutions, this offering aims to deliver tailor-made solutions for enterprises.

TCS highlighted its strong expertise in the field, with over 25,000 certified engineers on Google Cloud and more than 50,000 associates trained in AI. With plans to earn 40,000 skill badges specifically in Google Cloud generative AI, TCS aims to meet the growing demand for its new offering.

Krishnan Ramanujam, President of the Enterprise Growth Group at TCS, emphasised the company’s ability to leverage its deep contextual knowledge of customers’ businesses to build innovative generative AI solutions. The partnership with Google Cloud enables TCS to swiftly create value for its customers.

TCS has already established a robust portfolio of AI-powered solutions and intellectual property in various domains such as AIOps, Algo Retail, smart manufacturing, digital twins, and robotics. The company is actively collaborating with clients across multiple industries to explore the potential of generative AI in their specific business contexts.

To facilitate these collaborative efforts, TCS will leverage its client-specific contextual knowledge and agile development processes. The company will jointly ideate solutions, rapidly prototype ideas, and develop comprehensive transformation solutions with reduced time to value. TCS Pace Ports, the company’s co-innovation hubs located in New York, Pittsburg, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Tokyo, will serve as platforms for these collaborative exercises. Clients will also have the opportunity to engage with academic researchers and start-up partners from TCS’s extended innovation ecosystem.

Kevin Ichhpurani, Vice President of Global Partner Ecosystems and Channels at Google Cloud, commended TCS’s expertise in business transformation and its commitment to training thousands of professionals in Google Cloud Generative AI. He believes these assets will be valuable for businesses seeking to accelerate their adoption of generative AI.

The expanded partnership between TCS and Google Cloud marks a significant step towards advancing generative AI solutions in the enterprise space. With TCS’s domain knowledge and Google Cloud’s cutting-edge tools, businesses can expect innovative and customised AI-driven solutions to meet their specific needs.
