Elon Musk Appoints Linda Yaccarino as Twitter’s First Female CEO
It is a fact. Linda Yaccarino has officially been named as the new CEO of Twitter by Elon Musk. Musk added that while Yaccarino would concentrate on business operations, he would concentrate more on product design and emerging technologies. According to a recent statement by Musk, Yaccarino will officially take over as CEO of Twitter in six weeks.
On Friday night, Musk tweeted the name of the new CEO. “I’m pleased to welcome Linda Yaccarino to twitter as its new CEO! I concentrate on product design and emerging technologies, whereas @LindaYacc will mostly focus on business operations. Looking forward to working with Linda to make X, the everything app, out of this platform,” he added in the tweet.
Musk had declared that he will resign as CEO of Twitter and that a new CEO would take over by the end of the year. He announced on Thursday that he has hired the new Twitter CEO, who will start working for the company in a few weeks. A new CEO for X/Twitter has been hired, I’m happy to say. She will begin in about 6 weeks! As CEO and CTO, I will now be responsible for managing the company’s software, hardware, and systems operations, Musk stated in a tweet. This demonstrates that Musk is not eager to cede all of his authority to the incoming Twitter CEO.
