With sales of 46,847 passenger vehicles in March 2023, the business surpassed Hyundai to take up the second slot on the sales chart. This represents an increase of 9,908 units or 26.82% over the same month the previous year, when they sold 36,939 vehicles. This demonstrates the company’s expansion and success in the Indian market. Tata Motors sold 46,847 vehicles over the same period, compared to Hyundai’s 45,703 units, a rise of 4.42% or 1,937 units from March 2022. Hyundai’s sales dipped to 43,766 vehicles in March 2023, showing a slower growth rate than Tata Motors. With 1, 37,201 passenger vehicle sales in March 2023, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. continues to hold the top spot in the Indian automotive market. This amounts to a growth of 18.755 units, or 15.83%, over the company’s March 2022 passenger vehicle sales of 1,18,446 units.
