The India division of luxury automaker BMW on Thursday unveiled a new model of the X1 sports utility vehicle, which starts at Rs 48.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The X1 sDrive18i M Sport is made in India at the company’s plant in Chennai and has a 1,499 cc three-cylinder petrol engine.
According to the manufacturer, the model will start being delivered in June.According to BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah, “The all-new BMW X1 has really captured the imagination of customers who were waiting for a luxury SAV that’s an all-rounder in the true sense.”
The business has also introduced the M Sport variant in petrol, the BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport, in response to the significant consumer enthusiasm, he continued.
