Getting a Dubai driving license is now very easy. Dubai Authorities have announced a Golden opportunity for the same. Even if you don’t go to classes, it doesn’t matter, there is an opportunity to get a driver’s license by appearing for the theory and road tests together.
The Golden Chance project introduced by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority is a relief for expatriates. Golden Chance can be availed by all nationals, but this opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Expats who wish to avail the Golden Chance must have a valid driving license in their home country and pass both the theory and road tests conducted by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority. The special feature of this scheme is that it is possible to take both these tests together in one go through Golden Chance, without the need for pre-test classes. Applications should be made through the RTA website.
The scheme has been in effect since April 1, and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority released a notification about it through social media. However, it should be noted that if you fail the scheme once, your ‘Golden Chance’ will be gone, and you will have to join a regular driving class and complete the same steps as before.
