“We have made all women the Head (of the family) under the Chiranjeevi scheme.” 1.35 Billion women are now in charge of their households. After visiting the price relief camp in the town of Rawatsar in Hanumangarh, Gehlot addressed the crowd and announced that the ladies will receive smartphones and three years of free internet.
“We have decided that on Raksha Bandhan, 40 lakh smartphones will be given to women in Rajasthan,” he continued. The Chief Minister declared that women in the Chiranjeevi families will be given Smartphones with internet access for three years stated in his 2022 Budget statement.
About 1.35 crore women were expected to receive Smartphones as part of the Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana. The plan may, however, be put into action because it would be impossible to buy phones in such vast quantities on time. The Government informed the assembly in February of this year that it had budgeted for the distribution of the devices. As of January 30, 1,37,82,951 families had registered for coverage under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, which offers a maximum yearly medical benefit of Rs 25 lakh per family.
