Users of WhatsApp can now use the same account across different devices thanks to a new feature. Now, WhatsApp users can simultaneously access their accounts on four different devices. The new feature will enable users to freely link any device with WhatsApp and ensure end-to-end encryption of messages, media, and calls, according to the Meta-owned platform. All auxiliary devices connected to the WhatsApp user’s account will automatically log out if the primary device is dormant for a prolonged length of time. According to WhatsApp, users will find messaging more comfortable if they link their phones as companion devices. This would allow users to switch between devices without logging out and continue conversations where they left off.
The ability to reply to consumers through the same WhatsApp business account will help small business owners and employees of the company. An “alternative and more accessible” method of connecting companion devices has been announced by the messaging platform. Within the next two weeks, any user will be able to access the new function, which has been pushed out globally. Users of WhatsApp Web can enter their phone numbers to get a one-time code in place of scanning a QR code. Then, to enable device connectivity, they can enter this code on their phone. The site, which is owned by Meta, released the new function just as it was stepping up its efforts to safeguard the privacy of its customers. In a recent update, WhatsApp gave its users the option to enable the automatic posting of their WhatsApp Status to their Facebook Stories. WhatsApp included a privacy audience selection for status updates earlier this year. Users can choose who can access their status updates thanks to this.
