The Poco C51, the latest entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand, was released in India on Friday (April 7). The new Poco C-series smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and has a water drop-style notch display. The Poco C51 is available in two separate color schemes, as well as a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The built-in RAM may be practically increased to 7GB. The device comes with twin 8-megapixel rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery. The Poco C51 appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi A2+, which was released in limited regions in March.
Price and Availability of the Poco C51 in India
The new Poco C51 is priced at Rs. 8,499 in India for the single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. It is available in Power Black and Royal Blue and is presently listed on Flipkart with a ‘coming soon’ tag, with sales beginning on April 10. Poco is selling the device for Rs. 7,999 on launch day, however, the length of this deal is uncertain.
Specifications for the Poco C51
- The dual SIM Poco C51 will run Android 13 (Go Edition) and have a 6.52-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) touchscreen with a touch sampling rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 400 nits. The selfie camera is housed in a water drop-style notch on the display. It is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and 4GB of RAM. By using 3GB of empty storage, the built-in RAM may be practically increased up to 7 GB.
- The Poco C51 has a dual rear camera setup with an 8-megapixel main sensor and a secondary depth sensor for optics. A 5-megapixel camera on the front is used for selfies and video chats. It has 64GB of internal storage that can be upgraded to 1TB using a micro SD card.
- There are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, a micro-USB connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack on board. For authentication, the Poco C51 has an accelerometer and a fingerprint sensor on the back. A 5,000mAh battery powers the Poco C51. It also has dimensions of 76.75×164.9×9.09mm and weighs 192 grams.
