15 additional lengths for vanishing messages are apparently being developed by WhatsApp, owned by Meta.
According to WABetaInfo, the platform now allows vanishing messages for 24 hours, 7 days and 90 days. The “More Choices” menu will include the updated durations.
There will be 15 additional lengths on the list: one year, 180 days, sixty days, thirty days, twenty one days, fourteen days, six days, five days, four days, three days, two days, twelve hours, six hours, three hours, and one hour.
With the inclusion of additional durations for vanishing messages, users will surely have greater control over the communications they send and receive.
According to the article, the 1-hour length will probably be useful for messages that include sensitive or secret information because it will allow users to send brief messages that won’t remain on the recipient’s device for an extended period of time.
For those who are not familiar, vanishing messages are a feature that lets users send messages, which after a certain amount of time, vanishes from both the sender’s and the recipient’s conversation.
