Today marks the official unveiling of the much-anticipated Hyundai Verna 2023 in India. This would be the midsize sedan’s sixth generation, and it is intended to carry on the great tradition that this brand has developed over the years. The vehicle will compete with the Honda City 2023, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. It features a distinctive design, numerous functions, and strong specs and is very spacious.
On March 21, the new Verna will be released in India. To say the least, the 2023 Verna boasts a striking design. It has a completely redesigned front, back, and sides. The alloy wheels are brand new. The coupe-like rear is really appealing. The Verna 2023’s external highlights include segment-first Horizon LED positioning lighting. The effect is enhanced with DRLs that run over the car’s face. The shoulder line provides a sporty touch to the side. The automobile has Parametric linked LED taillamps at the back, which make it appear rather nice. When you go into the cabin, you are surrounded by luxury. Because of the larger wheelbase and breadth, the cabin is also spacious. Among the noteworthy features here are front heated/ventilated seats, segment-first switchable type infotainment and climate controller, Bose premium sound 8 speaker system, 10.25-inch HD audio video navigation system, and digital cluster with colored TFT MID.
The new Verna is estimated to cost between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). There will be a total of 14 versions. The automobile is powered by two engines: a 1.5-litre MPi petrol (115PS maximum power and 143.8Nm peak torque) and a 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol (160PS of maximum power and 253Nm of peak torque). Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT automatic with an MPi petrol engine, as well as a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT with a Turbo GDi petrol engine. In terms of measurements, the new Verna measures 4,535mm long, 1,765mm broad, and 1,475mm tall. It boasts a segment-leading wheelbase of 2,670mm. The boot capacity is 528 litres.
The new Verna includes 30 basic safety features, 17 Level 2 ADAS features from Hyundai SmartSense, and over 65 enhanced safety features. Forward collision warning, front collision-avoidance assist, blind spot collision, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attentiveness alert, and safe exit warning are among the ADAS capabilities.
