Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to be inaugurated on 12 March
The journey from Bengaluru to Mysuru will become easier. Now, it will take you only 75 minutes to travel the trip. On March 12, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to officially open the 118 km long motorway project, which was built for a total of about Rs 8,480 crores.
Two phases of construction were used to build the motorway. This 52 km segment has a greenfield made up of five newly opened bypasses. The five bypasses are a 7 km long one in Srirangapatna, a 10 km long one in Mandya, a 7 km long one in Bidadi, a 22 km long one that runs between Channapatna and Ramanagara, and a 7 km long one in Maddur.
The motorway will also boost the socio-economic development of the region. Also, it will help the region’s tourism industry grow and ease traffic congestion. Currently, the trip between the two cities takes about 3 hours. The NH-275 portion between Bengaluru, Nidaghatta, and Mysuru will be six-laned as part of the prestigious project.
The Prime Minister praised the recently built road earlier in the day. The prime minister said in a tweet that the motorway will help Karnataka’s growth trajectory. A crucial connectivity project that will support Karnataka’s trajectory of growth, according to PM Modi’s tweet.
Four rail overbridges, nine substantial bridges, forty minor bridges, and 89 underpasses and overpasses will be built as part of the highway project. It also includes a section of U.S. Route 275. Regional connectivity and accessibility would increase for places like Shrirangpatna, Coorg, Ooty, and Kerala thanks to the project.
The Delhi Mumbai Expressway’s portion between Delhi and Dausa and Lalsot was dedicated to the country by the prime minister last month. The segment will cut the distance between Delhi and Jaipur’s travel time in half, from roughly 5 hours to about 3.5.
