UAE Ministry identifies 6 key work patterns
Six typical work patterns for UAE employees have been identified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE). The work patterns, which include full-time, part-time, and temporary contracts, identify and describe the type of employment. The MoHRE used social media to describe the various options available to workers in the United Arab Emirates. The law governing the labor market in the United Arab Emirates, according to a tweet, “offers a variety of work patterns, intending to better the work environment and attract national and international talents to the private sector.”
Six work patterns were then noted;
- Full-time: Spending all of one’s working hours for one employer.
- Part-time: Working part-time means dedicating a set amount of time—either hours or days—to one or more employers.
- Temporary work: A project that lasts until it has been completed, is completed during a defined time frame, or is focused on a single project.
- Flexible work: A job whose working hours depend on the amount of work, the economy, and operational factors
- Remote work: Work is done remotely in whole or in part.
- Job sharing: Many personnel share jobs and tasks to complete the predetermined tasks.
