Sachin Tendulkar, Dulquer Salman, Yash, and Chiranjeevi sent their best wishes and support to India as e-powered racing vehicles took to the racetrack in Hyderabad.

The 2022–2023 Formula E World Championship featured the first-ever single-seater electrically powered Formula E event in India.

When world-renowned racers competed in supersonic street races in net zero electric sports cars in Hyderabad, it was a first for the city.

Social media is abuzz with posts featuring celebrities and competitors extending their well-wishes for India’s inaugural Formula One Grand Prix. Sachin Tendulkar AKA G.O.A.T and Malayalam pan-Indian celebrity DulquerSalman together attended the ceremony as chief guests.

The only two Indian cities with permanent race tracks are Chennai and Coimbatore, where the FIA and the Indian government have been planning motor racing since early 1997. The then-chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, purchased 1500 acres of land for a racetrack close to the Hyderabad Airport. On the suburbs of Hyderabad, a seven-year agreement was made to host the Indian Grand Prix

Superstars from the south cinema, including Ram Charan, Yash, and Chiranjeevi, attended the E-Prix, which was staged for the first time in India. Jean-Eric Vergne of France took the first place, followed by Nick Cassidy of New Zealand and Sebastian Buemi of Switzerland.

The Hyderabad race project was postponed because of the changes in government regulations. Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Lucknow were all slated to host the inaugural Indian Grand Prix by 2007. Greater Noida’s Buddh International Circuit hosted the inaugural Grand Prix in 2011.

The Hyderabad racetrack will be ready following that. As a result, the inaugural single-seater Formula E race of the 2022–2023 Formula E World Championship took place in India.
