The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai saw the flagoff of two new Vande Bharat Express trains by Prime Minister Naredndra Modi. The new and improved Vande Bharat Express trains 2.0 will run between Mumbai and Sainagar Shirdi, the entry point to the Deccan Plateau, as well as Mumbai and Solapur.
These two trains offer superior passenger amenities like on-board Wi-Fi infotainment, a GPS-based passenger information system, plush interiors, reclining seats, touch-free bio vacuum toilets, diffused LED lighting, charging points under each seat, individual touch-based reading lights, and hidden roller blinds. Additionally, there are contemporary mini-pantries and emergency talk-back devices so that passengers can get in touch with the crew.
There are already Vande Bharat trains operating between Delhi and Varanasi, Delhi and Shri Vaishno Devi Mata Katra, Gandhinagar and Mumbai, New Delhi and Amb Andaura, Chennai and Mysuru, and Nagpur and Bilaspur.
