Anitha, a housewife from Kanchikode Mayapalam, Palakkad, started her business three years ago when she purchased a mixer grinder to grind rice at home. When the neighbours learned about this, they asked for rice flour as well.
Without hesitation, Anita moved towards her goal. The locals needed a large rice mill, so Anita purchased one. This also provided a little source of income.

Along with this, Anjana Food Products was launched. The Palakkad District Industries Office was contacted for the necessary regulations and norms
Currently, Anita’s Unit provides packets of ragi podi, rice powder, fried put powder, and other products to numerous institutions in Kanjikode and Palakkad. Additionally sold in stores at Walayar. These are all produced with authentic native flavour.

Additionally, here food ash powder, hair growth oil, and virgin coconut oil are produced. Anita also began marketing a unique product from her business named ‘Umikari’ this year.
To this day, Anita has never used toothpaste; instead, she brushes her teeth every day with homemade umikkari. According to Anita, this will benefit dental health care.

The venture is supported by Anita’s husband and kid. The urge to prepare local goods and distribute them to the community has come a long way. Anita claims she wants to introduce additional products to the marketplace.
