Lafe Healthcare is a startup that helps doctors who have completed MBBS to crack the entrance for PG education. In 2018, Lafe will start operations as a digital question bank. It was a very small venture with only around 10 users in the beginning. At the beginning of the Covid era, Dr. Sathish Srinivasan joined the team, became co-founder and head of technology. It is in this era that artificial intelligence is used to figure out how to differentiate the structure of an exam and present it in a very simple way that is beneficial to the students. Lafe’s application works by using its own developed artificial intelligence algorithm. This application helps a student to crack the exam easily in less time. Within two years, Laffey Healthcare has reached nearly 10,000 users.
Technology
Laffey Healthcare is powered by artificial intelligence.
The startup team
LAFE Healthcare has two founders, Dr. Nithinraj, a native of Karunagappally and Oncologist at Kollam NS Hospital, Madurai and Dr. Satish Srinivasan, Radiation Oncologist at Apollo Madurai. A five-member team of three developers and two content writers work for Laffey.
Acknowledgments
App of Laffey Healthcare is useful for all medical colleges and students. The startup’s best recognition is the positive feedback it receives from students after each exam, with 80 percent of users giving a satisfactory response, the founder testifies. The startup currently operates as Bootstrap.
Future plans
The startup is planning to introduce two new products that will penetrate all levels of medical education. These new features will be integrated into the existing app itself. The most important of these is the concept card, which uses a memory technique called active recall mind mapping, which maps all concepts within a chapter onto a single card. With this launch, the company hopes to make Laffey’s app a global product. Video lecturing using artificial intelligence is also planned in the future.
