The Auto Expo 2023 has come to an end. The expo that started on January 11 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida concluded on January 13. Statistics say that the 16th edition received more than 6.36 lakh visitors and introduced a total of 82 vehicles. This has been achieved despite the absence of luxury carmakers and mass-market two-wheeler manufacturers. The Auto Expo 2020 received 6.08 lakh footfalls.
Several startups and two-wheeler EV players showcased their products at the expo. Some popular launches of this year were Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Tata Sierra, Safari EV, etc… Maruti Suzuki’s electric SUV introduced at the expo will hit the market in 2025. Bookings for Maruti’s five-door Jimny and Fronx are already open. Hyundai India showcased Ioniq5 EV and Ioniq 6 EV. MG Motor India showcased the facelifted Hector along with its global products. While Toyota introduced vehicles that can run on alternate fuels, Kia showcased the EV9 concept SUV and the next-gen Carnival. Tata Motors unveiled Sierra EV, Harrier EV, and Altroz Racer Edition at the expo.
