Founders of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow
The Startup India Innovation Week will begin on January 10 and is organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). On January 16, this sequence of activities will come to an end. Even though there isn’t a set topic for the day, events took place on the opening day of Startup India Innovation Week, including a webinar on “Founders of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow.”
The Beginning
The adoption of National Startup Day for January 16 was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 15, 2022. India observed its inaugural National Startup Day in the same year. Through video conferencing, PM Modi spoke with aspiring business owners and praised the expansion of startups in recent years.
The National Startup Awards 2022 winners will be honoured in an event organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. The award ceremony, which Startup India has designated as its flagship programme, aims to honour and celebrate the excellence displayed by businesses and ecosystem supporters.
Significance
National Startup Day is observed in India to celebrate the successes of the startup community. The day is observed in order to give startup business owners a forum to talk about innovation for India’s youth and their contribution to the economy.
Additionally, it is intended to highlight the significance of startup projects and hold them up as representative of society at large. This campaign also has the goal of encouraging young people to pursue entrepreneurship as their major career option.
