The controversial founder of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, provided a sneak peak of his most recent project, The Third Unicorn, on LinkedIn.
“A market-changing company has been discreetly and peacefully developed by Third Unicorn. Bootstrapped. without the spotlight. Additionally, we have changed the way we operate.” In his post, Grover stated.
After the Delhi High Court (HC) on Monday refused to grant BharatPe any immediate relief in its INR 88.7 crore defamation action against the company’s former MD and cofounder Ashneer Grover, his wife and former head of controls Madhuri Jain Grover, and other family members, his post on Tuesday came shortly after (January 9).
In his post, Grover also provided a rough synopsis of his upcoming endeavour. By saying that he exclusively supports “desi” (homegrown) or “self-earned” financing, Grover poked mockery of the venture capital (VC) sector.
The Third Venture team will consist of no more than 50 individuals, and its objective is to “create $1 billion in income.” When he stated that the firm will not have a regular board as in other organisations, he drew reference to his strained relationships with investors and board members as a result of the heated argument at his prior company BharatPe.
He encouraged potential investors to get in touch with him, promising to deliver a Mercedes to everyone who worked with him after his company had been in business for five years.
