AR Rahman announced the launch of Katraar, his metaverse platform.
The project, which is currently under development, will be a reality soon.

Katraar is a digital platform for independent musicians and artists.
It will allow musicians and artists to list and monetise their creations in their respective areas.
Rahman will also release some of his exclusive works through Katraar.
The platform will be deployed on HBAR Foundation’s Hedera Network.
He would bring a lot of NFTs, which are rare in art.
Rahman said Katraar means ‘a group of learned people who can change the world’.

“It is also tradition; it will have wisdom and vision,” he added in a short video he released on his social media pages.

In his opinion, Katraar will bring in new talents and technologies and thus provide direct revenue to artists. This would bridge the old and the new and give creative minds the freedom to explore.
