Chennai-based startup Space Kidz India to launch a satellite made by 750 female students. The satellite named ‘AzaadiSAT’ is expected to launch on January 16 on an ISRO launch vehicle.

- Space Kidz India selected 10 female students from 75 government schools across India to develop the satellite.
- The students are mainly from Class VIII to XII.
- Lumina Datamatics has partnered with Space Kidz for the venture.
- The project is also supported by Niti Aayog.
- Last year, Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram S carried Space Kidz’s payload ‘FunSAT’.
- It comprised 80 experiments by 160 students from India, the US, Indonesia, and other countries.
