Indian cuisine received 4.54 out of 5 stars, placing it fifth in TasteAtlas’ 2022 World’s Best Cuisine Awards. The top-rated cuisine in India, according to a food review website based in Bulgaria, is “garam masala, ghee, malai, butter garlic naan, keema and 460 more.”
The ranking of the best cuisines in the world was headed by Italian food, with Greek, Spanish, and Japanese food coming in second through fourth, respectively.
However, only India’s Shahi Paneer, which came in at number 28, among the greatest “traditional” foods in the world, cracked the top 50.
In TasteAtlas’ list of the world’s top meals, Shahi Paneer from Delhi’s Kake Da Hotel scored 4.66 stars out of 5. Shahi paneer, a cheese dish that comes from Mughal cuisine, is made with paneer, onions, almond paste, and a thick, hot tomato-cream sauce. Indian breads like naan, roti, or puri are frequently served with the dish, according to the culinary website.
However, Gulati’s Butter Chicken from New Delhi earned 53rd place with 4.56 marks. In a ranking of the top 100 “traditional” foods in the world, Dastarkhwan’s Lucknow Korma came in at number 55. Hyderabadi Biryani (by ITC Kohinoor) came in at number 71 on the global list, and Vindaloo of Venite in Goa took home place 71.
According to TasteAtlas’ ranking for 2022, the top 5 “Best Traditional Dishes” worldwide are, in order, Kare (Japan), Picanha (Brazil), Ameijoas à Bulhao Pato (Portugal), Tangbao (China), and Guotie (China).
The top traditional Indian restaurants, according to TasteAtlas rankings, include Shri Thaker Bhojanalay in Mumbai, Karavalli in Bangalore, Bukhara in New Delhi, Dum Pukht in Delhi, Comorin in Gurgaon, Girimanja’s in Mangalore, Kinara Dhaba Village in Waksai, Annalakshmi in Chennai, and Mavalli Tiffin Rooms in Bangalore.
