UAE’s first mission to the moon ‘Lunar Rover Rashid’ postponed
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) announced a new date
The launch has been postponed to November 30 at 12.39 pm UAE time
The launch was supposed to take place on November 28 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket
The change in schedule is due to unfavourable weather conditions
The new date and time are also subject to change
It will be launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida
Once launched, the spacecraft will land on the moon in about five months
If successful, UAE would become the fourth global nation to land on the Moon
The rover will explore lunar soil, dust movement, surface plasma conditions and the Moon’s photoelectron sheath
