According to a statement made by Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, six new high-tech cities will be built within the next six months in Hubbali, Dharwad, Mysore, Mangaluru, central Karnataka, and one close to Bengaluru.

Speaking at the 25th Bengaluru Tech Summit, Bommai asserted that Karnataka will develop through the promotion of science, technology, and creative ideas in high-tech cities. The chief minister stated that after realising Bengaluru’s passion and potential for generating startup concepts, the decision to establish a startup park and high-tech cities was decided.
He urged specialists and businesspeople to provide ground-breaking solutions to the issues facing urban high-tech cities and to improve the quality of life there.
Within six months, Bommai said, a startup park will also be constructed close to the airport in Bengaluru. This park will act as a knowledge hub for entrepreneurs to reflect on and create startup ideas for the state’s and the country’s overall development.
Interestingly, he emphasised the necessity for eco-friendly breakthroughs while also pointing out the importance of such innovations in the field of biotechnology to prolong the existence of the human species.
