The North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Umiam, is accepting applications for the positions of Research Scientist and Junior Research Fellow, according to an announcement from ISRO (JRF).
The North Eastern Council (NESAC) and the Department of Space (DOS) are two independent organisations (NEC). It uses space science and technology to support the development of the North Eastern region. Their main initiatives are within the categories of satellite communication, GIS, remote sensing, and space science research.
Important information:
Only citizens of India may apply. Nine junior research fellow positions and ten research scientist positions total 19 openings. The compensation ranges from Rs 31,000 to Rs 1,77,500 monthly. The posts are on a project-based temporary basis. A minimum cumulative 60% is required for a ME/MTech degree. Candidates for JRF positions must have passed the CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, JAM, or any other tests of a comparable level. The direct interview performance will serve as the basis for selection. As of 30 November 22, the age restriction for JRF is 28, and for research scientists it is 35. The employment contract has a one-year term. The applicants that have been chosen will be posted at NESAC, Umiam. At ISTRAC Bengaluru, there will be a JRF post available.
