What inspired Padma to turn to sustainable living?
It is the demise of her grandmother and father that encouraged Padma to turn to this. She lost both of them to cancer. Why cancer is so prevalent? She thought.

As a way to counter it, Padma decided to switch from regular toilet cleaners, detergents, and dishwashing liquids to natural alternatives. Not only soaps, but she also changed her entire lifestyle.
Later, she started sharing her recipes, tips and tricks on her website and other digital media platforms for all. Among them, soapnuts became everyone’s favourite.
