The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) has awarded the “Letter of Award” (LoA) to Tata Power subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy for the construction of a 150 MW solar project in Solapur.
The project will be put into service within 18 months of the contract’s execution date, according to a statement from Tata Power.
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s CEO, Ashish Khanna, stated: “We feel honoured to receive the LoA from MSEDCL for the 150MW solar project. The recognition reflects our dedication to building a resilient ecosystem for the transition to a greener future and confirms our ability to execute solar projects of the highest calibre.
This brings the overall renewable energy capacity of Tata Power’s arm to 5,786 MW, with 3,877 MW of that installed (Solar: 2,949 MW; Wind: 928 MW) and 1,909 MW in various phases of development.
Tata Power is present throughout the whole value chain of electricity production, including the production of conventional and renewable power, including the production of hydro and thermal energy, transmission and distribution, coal and freight, logistics, and trade.
