Mumbai-based Aryahi Agarwal, who is 14-years-old, is an entrepreneur. Founder of Bella Frangrances, an exclusive organic perfume brand for teenage girls, she earned Rs 65,000 in three months.
She started working on it during the covid-19 lockdown period. She looked for a good perfume but could not find anything of her choice. When she spoke to her friends, she realised that they felt the same. This inspired Aryahi to experiment.
She wanted to create a perfume that was affordable and unique. It took her almost six months to formulate her plan and start the company. Her mentors were not supportive of her idea. They found it impossible to make an organic perfume within that price range. But, her mother Raji Agarwal stood by her and encouraged her to continue exploring the possibility.
Despite experts demotivating her, Aryahi experimented with essential oil mixtures and finally got the blend right. She says everything was handmade and every time she depended on her friends for testing the product. They were her best critics.
Eventually, with the capital of Rs 20,000 her father gave, she set up her business. Within three months, she made Rs 65,000.
Currently, her brand produces two fragrances – Bella Organics and Bella Naturals, both priced at Rs 599 for a 30 ml bottle. Bella Naturals has 21 notes and is safe to use on skin. Bella Organics is milder and primarily made out of roses. It has three notes. Each bottle would last up to three months, says Aryahi.
