Apple held a 40% market share in India’s premium market, followed by Samsung and OnePlus, which saw their highest-ever shipment share in the country’s third quarter.
During the quarter, Apple increased its market share in India’s smartphone market to 5%, which was fueled by a vigorous channel push prior to the holiday season.
According to Counterpoint Research, the total India smartphone quarterly shipment rankings were led for the first time ever by an iPhone (iPhone 13).
Additionally, Apple has a contract with a different producer to make the newest iPhone 14 series phones in India. With Taiwanese producer Pegatron, the business has a contract. As a result, Pegatron has joined Foxconn as Apple’s second supplier to begin building the iPhone 14 in India.
Pegatron is now the second supplier of the iPhone 14 series in India. The American corporation was having difficulty fulfilling its production goals at the time due to the lockdown in the area surrounding one of its major Chinese suppliers.
Apple has not made any public announcements on the new contract’s signing.
