Kerala is eligible for National Green Hydrogen Mission
The Indian government identified 10 states for green hydrogen manufacturing
Other states are Karnataka, Odisha, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal
The government checked the existing steel and fertiliser industries in these states
Also checked refineries, and ports located in these states
The renewable energy generation capacity was another parameter
About 25 million tonnes of hydrogen capacity in India is confirmed
Karnataka will spend Rs 2.9 lakh crore for the mission
It aims to build India’s first green hydrogen manufacturing cluster
The final draft of the mission will be released in December
