Sajesh NS, an Indian expat, won the 25 million UAE dirham (about Rs. 50 crore) prize in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket raffle draw. Together with 20 of his friends, Sajesh from Kerala earned the jackpot.
Sajesh and his friends are all from Kerala and all work in the food industry. The majority of the group’s members have resided in the UAE for more than ten years and make between Dh2,500 and Dh3,000 per month. For the past four years, they have been buying tickets for Big Ticket Abu Dhabi on a regular basis.
