Kerala bags prizes in the Dare To Dream competition held by DRDO. Four teams from Kerala won 20 lakhs in two categories. Pathanamthitta-based Ani Sam Varghese’s AIDRONE won second prize in the startup category. The Counter Drone System he developed won a cash prize of Rs 8 lakhs. In the individual category, Kalamasserry-based startup EyeROV’s founder Johns T Mathai won the first prize. The Underwater Drone developed by Johns T Mathai and his team won Rs 5 lakhs. Kollam native B. Surya Saradhi reached second with Rs 4 lakhs cash prize. He developed messaging and voice systems for underwater systems. Rajendra Singh from Thiruvananthapuram won the third prize with Rs 3 lakhs. He developed a system for destroying the illegal drones.
