At Gitex Global 2022, the flying bike Xturismo presented by Japanese company Arewins Technologies wowed the audience. The hoverbike was showcased at the world’s largest technology event at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The single-seater flying bike costs $777,000 (roughly Rs. 6 crore 39 lakhs). This hover bike has a weight of 300 kg and a maximum payload of 100 kg. It has a speed of 80 to 100 km per hour and a range of 40 km. This hover bike has an internal combustion + battery model. The bike with remote navigation, auto steering and autonomous control system is 3.7 metres long, 1.5 metres high and 2.4 metres wide. Yuma Takenaka, executive manager of global marketing for Erwins, said the company, which will produce up to five units per month, is also planning large-scale production at a joint venture in Abu Dhabi next year. Sales began last year, and so far about 10 units have been sold in Japan, Takenaka said. The world’s first hoverbike is available in black, red and blue colours. Arewins Technologies also plans to launch an electric version in 2025 for $50,000.
