GITEX GLOBAL-2022 has become the best platform for pitching and funding for startups globally. The Middle East’s largest startup pitch competition, Supernova Challenge, was held at GITEX. Desolenator, a Dutch water purification startup that has developed solar-powered water purification technology, has won the top prize of $100,000 in the Supernova Challenge. Startups from over 41 countries competed in the North Star Dubai Supernova Challenge. Oman Tech Fund Pitching Receives $1 Million in Investments for Nine Startups. Online service provider Nashid and watercraft company Seavo teletherapy platform and SgharToon won $150,000 each. The winner of the MENA Start-up Award is Galactek, an entertainment e-sports company from Oman.
