PepsiCo to take delivery of Tesla Inc’s Semi trucks on December 1. PepsiCo is the first company to receive orders for this electric vehicle. The trucks would be used at PepsiCo’s two units Frito-Lay plant in Modesto, California, and beverages factory in Sacramento. PepsiCo reserved 100 of the truck in 2017. It aims to deploy 15 of its trucks by the end of 2022. PepsiCo has been aiming to reduce fuel costs and emissions. It aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.
