The Indian Pavilion at GITEX-2022, Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, the world’s largest technology exhibition, was inaugurated by Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai. Around 200 Indian companies, including startups, are participating in the Expo and the India Pavilion. This makes India the largest representative among the participating countries. About 40 startups from Kerala are participating. Dr. Aman Puri said that this is the biggest representation. Dr. Puri said that India and the UAE share strong cultural and economic ties and this has been further boosted with the signing of CEPA earlier this year. Dr. Puri also said that Dubai has emerged as the most important partner for Indian companies from the electronics and IT sector. The opportunities available to Indian companies in the UAE will help them expand not only in the UAE market but also globally in the Middle East and MENA region. It is the largest platform outside India for startups and companies to present their products and services.
The Kerala Startup Mission and the government are providing great support to the startups to give them better growth. Aman Puri said that this is a great opportunity for startups and youth in India to present new ideas on the global stage. He was talking to channeliam.com founder Nisha Krishnan.
