The first coach of next-generation Vande Bharat trains will be out within 16 months. The maximum speed of these trains will be 200 kmph. Currently, the maximum speed is 180 kmph. About 1,600 coaches for the upgraded version will be manufactured. The Marathwada Rail Coach Factory at Latur will manufacture them. Each of them will cost Rs 8 crore to Rs 9 crore.
