Indian Navy to induct India's first human-carrying drone 'Varuna'

Indian Navy to induct India’s first human-carrying drone ‘Varuna’. Pune-based startup Sagar Defence Engineering Private Limited designed and manufactured the drone. Varuna can move human beings and goods like liquids and equipment, claims the startup. The passenger drone can be remotely-controlled. It can carry payloads up to 130 kg It can cover 25 kilometres in 30 minutes. Varuna can be used as an air ambulance in remote villages and air taxi in metro cities. It is a good option for disaster relief and casualty evacuation.
