Google has introduced new lock screen widgets for iOS 16. Now, users can personalise the lock screen by adding unique elements like fonts, widgets, and more.
With the new feature, users can add Google widgets such as ‘search’, ‘Chrome’, ‘Drive’, ‘Google Maps’, ‘Gmail’, and ‘Google News’ to the screen. The widgets allow easy access to users. For example, if users insert the ‘Search’ widget, they can directly search Google from the lock screen using voice or camera. With the Chrome lock screen widgets, they can search with voice or in incognito mode. They can also load the Dino game.
With the Maps Frequent Trips widget, users can access real-time traffic updates, an estimated arrival time, and nearby restaurants and shops. Gmail has also been added to the list and this automatically shows the new messages in one’s inbox. With Google News, one can read real-time headlines.
