Meta took action against 2.7 million people on Facebook and Instagram in July, the company said in its monthly transparency report. The company has taken steps to comply with the Information Technology (Intermediate Guidelines and Digital Media Code of Ethics) Regulations 2021 for 2.5 million posts on Facebook and 20,000 posts on Instagram. .
Action was taken against 1.73 million spam on Facebook. This was followed by 27,000 posts about “adult nudity and sexual activity” and 23,000 posts about “violent and graphic content.”
According to reports, Meta found most of the content on Instagram violated its policy on “suicide and self-harm,” followed by “adult nudity and sexual activity” and “violent and graphic content.” The company received 626 complaints from individuals on Facebook and 1,033 on Instagram posts.
