Indian billionaire Gautam Adani has overtaken France’s Bernard Arnault to become the third richest person in the world
according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This is the first time an Asian has made it into the top three spots on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Gautam Adani, who has a net worth of $137.4 billion, has overtaken Bernard Arnault to be in the list after America’s Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.
In 2022 alone, Adani added $60.9 billion to his fortune. That’s five times more money for him than for anyone else. He overtook Mukesh Ambani to become Asia’s richest person in February, became a billionaire in April, and surpassed Microsoft’s Bill Gates last month, becoming the fourth richest person in the world.
