Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD, backed by Warren Buffet, will launch the Born Electric SUV for the Indian market in the fourth quarter of the current year. Deliveries would begin in January. This will be the first Born Electric SUV in the mass market. The Born Electric models from Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra will go on sale from 2024.
