According to the website InAppBrowser.com, it can reveal how social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram see your sensitive data like address, passwords, and credit card information without your consent.
The website claims that it has a tool that lets users know how these social media platforms inject JavaScript code into third-party websites, causing potential security and privacy threats to the user.
The tool’s developer Felix Krause says that anybody can verify it using the tool. The process is simple. Open an app you want to analyse, share the URL, and tap on the link inside the app to open it. Then, read the report on the screen.
Earlier, he had warned that TikTok may be monitoring all keyboard inputs and taps through its in-app browser on iOS. However, TikTok denied it. He has also reported Instagram and Facebook for tracking data.
