Dr Jitendra Singh announced a loan of Rs 1.15 crore for Maharashtra-based TGP Bioplastics. It is to aid efforts to manufacture and commercialize compostable plastics. This is a significant step by the government of India to mitigate the usage of Single Use Plastics (SUP). It will provide an indigenous alternate solution and achieve India’s commitment of a ‘Single Use Plastic Free’ nation. An MoU has been signed between Technology Development Board, and M/s TGP Bioplastics Private Limited.
