Johnson & Johnson to stop global sale of its talc-based baby powder

Johnson & Johnson to stop the sale of talc-based baby powder. The global sale will halt in 2023, the company said. Two years ago, it ended the powder’s sale in the US and Canada. The company faces 38,000 lawsuits from consumers and survivors. They claim that the talc products caused cancer. It is due to contamination with asbestos. Asbestos is a known carcinogen. However, Johnson & Johnson denied the allegations.
