Timex introduces ‘Waterbury Ocean Collection’. It is an upcycled watch made with ocean-bound plastic. It is an attempt to tackle pollution in the ocean ecosystem. The collection is made in collaboration with #tide. #tide is an award-winning organisation that works to save the ocean from plastic. Plastic is collected by fishermen from the coastline. It is sorted, cleaned, shredded, and recrafted in a Swiss facility. The whole process is done using carbon-neutral transport and solar power .The bracelet, case, and dial of the collection are made using ocean material. The collection comes in Gray/Gunmetal, Navy, Gray/Rose Gold, Blue, and Pink shades. It is priced at Rs 9,995 (for men) and Rs 9,295 (for women).
