Social media should be held accountable It is a global concern, Said IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He was responding to Twitter legal suits. Twitter is said to be pursuing judicial review. It is to overturn govt orders seeking content withdrawal. Companies should abide by Indian laws, observed the minister. It is important to hold social media accountable, he said. The process will begin with self-regulation. And, will be followed by industry regulation and govt regulation.
